Charlie Bates Racing (CBR) is a second-generation race team competing out of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Nineteen-year-old Charlie Bates followed in his father’s footsteps in racing world, Jim Bates a former super stock, and limited late model racer with several feature wins at Dells Raceway Park, and currently a drag racer. Charlie started his career in the world of drag racing, participating in the Jr. Dragster program at Byron Dragway as his first experiences in racing. At the urging of friends in pavement circle track racing, in 2020 Jim and Charlie entered the world of pavement oval track racing with the purchase of a 602 Late Model. This proved to be an exciting and productive move. Now in their third year, CBR is campaigning a 602 Outlaw Late Model team throughout Wisconsin.

After the first two seasons of 602 Late Model competition CBR has recorded a single heat race win, a Trophy Dash win, and a feature win all in just fifteen events. This feature win and Trophy Dash came at the prestigious Jim Sauter Classic. As all these wins have taken place at Dells Raceway Park, Charlie and the CBR team has several other top five and top ten finishes not only at Dells Raceway Park, however several of these front running finishes have been collected at Jefferson Speedway and Madison International Speedway. By almost any standards this is a great start to a career.

After this big performance improvement in 2022, Charlie Bates Racing will be working hard to continue to add to that success, with improvement both on and off the track. The continued performance growth by Charlie and the entire CBR team gives your company the opportunity to take advantage of the additional marketing opportunities. In the coming 2023 season, CBR will be expanding their schedule both in the competitive circles, as well as off track opportunities for marketing partners to convert the growing fan base of Charlie and the CBR team both on and off the track to become your loyal customers.
